This report, Towards Sustainable Development — Alternative to GDP for Measuring Progress” is based on a study commissioned by European Parliament Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety in 2010. The goal was to analyze alternative progress indicators to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as a means toward sustainable development.
