Smart Energy Living Alliance

SELA’s mission is to help individuals and businesses to make smart energy decisions and insure qualified professionals are available to support their needs. They provide unbiased information, tools and resources to help consumers make intelligent, responsible energy decisions. Informed energy users will live more efficiently, reducing their energy use and their utility bills while they enjoy increased comfort and resale value.

Smart Energy Living was started by the Colorado Energy Science Center (later re-named the Smart Energy Living Alliance) in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The nonprofit parent ceased operations in 2010 but Smart Energy Living LLC continues as an independent source of energy education. NREL continues to serve as a content advisor and source of renewable energy and energy efficiency information for the magazine.
