Cradle to Cradle:Remaking the Way We Make Things

MBDC (McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry) is a global sustainability consulting and product certification firm founded in 1995 by world-renowned architect William McDonough and chemist Dr. Michael Braungart. MBDC consults clients on leaving a ‘positive footprint’ on the planet (instead of reducing a negative footprint) by implementing the Cradle to Cradle® Framework.

William McDonough and Michael Braungart’s book is a manifesto calling for the transformation of human industry through ecologically intelligent design. They make the case that an industrial system that makes and wastes” can become a creator of goods and services that generate ecological, social and economic value through historical sketches on the roots of the industrial revolution, commentary on science, nature and society, and a descriptions of key design principles.
