Green Schools National Conference coming to our Backyard!
I can’t remember when I have ever been so excited about a conference! The 2nd annual Green Schools National Conference, coming to the Colorado Convention Center from February 27-29.

The National Conference will bring thousands to Denver from education, business, nonprofit and government sectors to discover how they can collaborate to infuse environmental stewardship into formal education.
Just like the best environmental education techniques, this conference will provide field trips, hands on learning and fun.
The 2012 Green Schools National Conference is an unprecedented opportunity to mobilize and inspire the Green & Healthy Schools movement in Colorado.
If you want the next generation of community leaders to become environmentally literate, attend the conference or sponsor a team from your school district.

The conference features a landmark appearance by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to announce the new U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools Program.
I’m also looking forward to hearing what Gary Hirshberg, Laura Turner Seydel, Majora Carter, Graciela Tiscareno-Sato, Gerald Lieberman and others have to say about the value of green and healthy schools.
Check out the Green Schools National Conference. See you there!
