This report emerged from a collaboration among the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Living City Block, and Architectural Energy Corporation (AEC) to analyze and assess the Alliance Center’s energy efficiency and find potential improvements. It provided the Alliance and Living City Block data and information to create benchmarks for further energy efficiency improvements. The report analyzes the Alliance Center’s energy usage and then reviews the possibilities for improving the building’s performance to Net Zero standards with respect to the building envelope, HVAC system and energy generation source.
