Not only does this innovative faucet provide no-touch convenience, it also saves water and energy by generating its own hydropower each time water flows over its internal turbine. The electrical energy is then stored in a patented rechargeable battery housed within the faucet. Water turns on when hands are placed under the spout. The faucet turns off either when hands are pulled away or at the end of a 10-second cycle. Combined with an aerator, each cycle uses less than 1/10th of a gallon of water. This technology saves 20% more water than previous models.
