Plants selected for the Alliance Center garden fit a “Xeric” profile – that is, adapted to Colorado’s low annual rainfall fluctuating around 15 inches, summer temperatures over 100 degree Fahrenheit, and freezing winters below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Xeriscaping your yard can lower the amount of water needed for landscaping by up to 60%.
