Floor

The counter tops and linoleum floors are made of a natural product called Marmoleum, made from linseed oil, wood flour, resin binders and dry pigments. These ingredients are mixed and pressed onto a natural jute backing. Marmoleum lasts 25 to 40 years and is completely biodegradable.  The benefits of natural linoleum are that it produces no adverse health effects during production, has a long service life of 25-40 years, there are no VOCs, it is easily cared for and it doesn’t melt.

Benefits of Natural Linoleum

  • Natural, readily renewable ingredients, completely biodegradable, producing no adverse health effects during production, its useful life or disposal.

  • No harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs), asbestos or formaldehyde used during manufacture or installation.
  • Durable. Excellent resistance to indentation marks.
  • Easy care. Unlike vinyl, linoleum is antistatic so it actually repels dust.
