Showing Carpet Tile

Carpet tiles in the Alliance center contribute to the sustainable use of resources and protect indoor air quality.

“ Hybrid” PLA fibers- The face of some interface carpets is made of biobased polymers made from polylactic acid (PLA)—starch from corn and other plant material. It is completely biodegradable and recyclable.

Glue Free- tactile are 3×3 inch squares which adhere to the backing of intersecting carpet tiles, bonding carpet tiles together. Carpet tiles can be installed without the use of permanent glues.

Non-Toxic- The material chosen for the PLA fibers, nylon carpet pile, vinyl backing and adhesive used in the Alliance Center are non-toxic and emit fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Recycled- The carpet tiles and vinyl backing are made from 56% post-industrial and post-consumer recycled materials. The carpet and backing are also recyclable. It can be remanufactured into new carpeting.

Modular- Carpet laid as individual tiles significantly reduces waste and cost. Modular flooring allows for replacement of individual damaged carpet squares.

Design- The non-directional pattern of colors in the carpet reduce installation waste and allows undetectable replacement of tiles.
