Walking on mat

Commercial quality doormats placed at the entrances to The Alliance Center catch dirt and keep it from entering the building, keeping the work environmentally  healthy and the floors clean.  As much as 80-90% of the dirt in a building or home enters on people’s feet.  Mats keep the carpets and flooring cleaner, reducing the amount of maintenance and cleaning required.  This also increases the longevity of the flooring materials.

Use walk-off mats both outside and inside building entryways.  Each mat needs to be large enough for each foot to hit the mat 2 times when walking in.  Good walk-off mats are made of a durable, semi-course material with open loops to scrape and capture mud, salt or snow.  The mats also remove moisture by drying shoes.  Clean mats regularly by vacuuming, sweeping, shaking or steam cleaning.
