Drinking water doesn’t have to be ice cold to be satisfying.
Rather than repair six refrigerated water fountains, they were replaced. Fountains without refrigeration units or water storage reservoirs were installed.
• Around 3,000 kWh of energy and $200 per year are saved by not chilling water.*
• The coolant in the old units, CFC-12 (one of the hazardous materials causing the hole in the ozone layer), was responsibly recovered by acertified technician. There are no hazardous materials in the new, tap-temperature fountains.
• The old fountains were recycled.
